I don’t just write about welding; I live it. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the fabrication and inspection industry, I have dedicated my career to mastering the science of metal joining. My professional journey includes:
- International Welding Engineer (IWE): Certified by SLV Duisburg, Germany, ensuring a global perspective on welding technology and coordination.
- AWS-CWI (Certified Welding Inspector): Extensive experience in verifying weld quality against international codes such as AWS D1.1 and AS/NZS standards.
- Industry Recognition: I was honored as a Finalist for the Welding Professional of the Year (Welding Coordinator category) by Weld Australia in both 2024 and 2025. This recognition reflects my commitment to excellence and my contribution to the Western Australian welding industry.
Why I Created QualityPros
Throughout my career working with major firms like Callidus Welding Solutions and Lighthouse Engineering, I noticed a recurring challenge: welders and engineers often spent hours performing manual calculations that could be automated.
I built this site to host a comprehensive suite of Welding & Engineering Calculators—from Heat Input and Carbon Equivalent to Near Field and Snell’s Law physics. Every tool on this site is designed and verified by me to ensure it aligns with current industry standards (such as AS/NZS 4680, AS/NZS 1554, and ISO 9001:2026).
